Last trip to the Depot

After careful consideration, I decided that it would probably be best to add a single sheet of birch ply on top of the 2 X 3 worktop. I was going to try to do the top out of sanded, polished, and cornered 2 x 3, but I didn't feel the top would ever be free from splinters.

So I picked up a 24" x 48" birch sheet (the cheapest hardwood you can get) for $14.

I also bought a couple smaller clamps (to keep things steady when cutting all this stuff) as well as a couple decent sized boxes of 2" and 3" wood screws. Also, I returned the sand paper I bought before and got the right stuff for my sander this time..

Total cost - $49, and the LAST time I go to the Depot for any project for awhile... ;)
